Anne Heche Biography: Anne Heche or Anne Celeste Heche is an American actress, director and scriptwriter.  She was born on 25 May 1969, In Aurora Ohio. She came into the limelight by portraying herself in twins ‘Vicky Hudson and Marley Love’ on the soap opera Another World.

For her spectacular work, she won a ‘Daytime Emmy Award and two ‘Soap Opera Digest Awards’. She came to prominence in the late 1990s. She played leading roles in the crime drama film ‘Donnie Brasco’ (1997), the disaster film Volcano (1997), and the slasher film ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997).  The action cum comedy film ‘Six Days, Seven Nights (1998), and the drama-thriller film Return to Paradise’ (1998).

She secured her role in the television film Gracie’s Choice,  which earned her a Prime time. Emmy Award nomination. For her work on Broadway, particularly Twentieth Century, she received a Tony Award nomination.

Anne Celeste Heche starred in the comedy-drama television series Men in Trees (2006–08), Hung (2009-11) Save Me (2013) Aftermath (2016) and the military drama television series The Brave in 2017

She lent her voice to the animated television series The Legend of Korra.  She voiced Suyin Beifong.  She also appeared as a contestant in the 29th season of Dancing with the Stars.

Anne Heche Biography – Childhood Life:

Anne Celeste Heche was born on May 25, 1969, in Aurora, Ohio. She was the youngest of five children of Nancy Heche and Donald Joseph Heche. Anne Heche was the only earning member of his family. His only source of income was the choir director. It was jot a very profitable job. He lied to his family that he was engaged in the Business of Oil and Gas. They were not able to pay the room rent on time. Heche’s family moved eleven times during her childhood.

In 1983, her father Donald Joseph Heche was diagnosed HIV/Aids positive. He died at the age of 45 on March 3, 1983. Anne Heche was only 13 years old at her father’s death.

After her father’s death, her mother shifted to settle in Ocean City, New Jersey. Heche was only thirteen years old when her father died. Due to the family’s financial constraints, Anne Henche went to work at a dinner theatre in Swainton in Cape, New Jersey.

She shared the most troublesome state of her family life when they were kicked out of the house and forced to live in the bedroom of a generous family from a church. From her Opera work, she could hardly earn up to $100 a week. To support such a large family of six people was a very tough task. However, with munificent life habits, they saved enough money to move out of New Jersey.

Tragedy of Anne Heche’s life:

Anne Henche’s father Mr. Donald Joseph Henche was an abusive and sexually frustrated person. He toppled down all the moral barriers and raped his own daughter Anne Heche again and again until the age of 12 years. It was the most horrible period of her life. She was always beaten by her father for denial and objection. 

In 1986, Heche’s elder brother Nathan was killed in a car crash. Before her brother Nathan’s death, she lost her two siblings- Susan and Cynthia.  Cynthia died in infancy of a heart Defect’.

Anne Celeste Heche Schooling life and starting of Career:

Susan succumbed to death due to Brain Cancer.  Then, Heche’s family moved to Chicago, where Heche got admission to Francis W. Parker School. In 1985, a great turning moment came into her life. When Heche was 16 years old, an opera agent spotted her talent in a school play and secured her place in an audition. It was a daytime soap opera. Heche flew to New York City, auditioned, and was offered a job. It seems that her mother did not like that her daughter should go out to work with men. Her mother Nancy Henche insisted that she should complete her education first. Just before her high school graduation in 1987, Heche was offered a dual role on the daytime soap opera ‘Another World’ but again she was stopped by her mother to join the opera.

Her mother was a very religious lady and she thought, ‘Working in Opera led to a sinner’s world after death’. But this time Henche made her firm decision. She was offered a plane ticket and she went to New York and joined the job. 

Anne Heche Career:

 Anne Celeste Heche started her career with an American Television soap opera “Another World” in 1987. She worked regularly with complete dedication. For her great work, she received the ‘Daytime Emmy Award for her outstanding performance as a young actress in 1991.

Heche made her Primetime Television Show in an episode of Murphy Brown. She made her TV-movie debut the following year with a brief appearance in the Hallmark of Fame and in  ‘O Pioneer’  in 1992.

 In 1993,  Heche made her feature-film debut in Disney’s The Adventures of  Huck Finn.

In 1996, Anne Heche landed her first substantial role as a college student contemplating an abortion in an HBO  anthology film  ‘If These Walls Could Talk’.

 Heche gained a positive from the great film critic Alison Macor. He wrote to her in her review that she “is destined for larger film roles”. She played a wife role in a crime drama Donnie Brasco in 1997.  The film made $124.9 million earning worldwide.

Heche’s first starring role came in the 1998 romantic adventure film ‘Six Days, Seven Nights’. She played the opposite role to Harrison Ford. She had been cast in the film one day before her Same-Sex Relationship with Ellen DeGeneres.  Although Heche was cast in a second starring role shortly thereafter as Vince Vaughn’s love interest in Return to Paradise.

Six Days, Seven Nights received mixed reviews, but grossed US$74.3 million in North America and US$164.8 million worldwide.

Heche also starred opposite Ed Harris in the 1999 film, ‘The Third Miracle’ in Canada.

In the early 2000s, She started working in independent films and television. ; she played the role of Dr. Sterling in the film Christina Ricci and Jessica Lange. The production made US$102.2 million at the worldwide box office, despite negative reviews by critics.

Heche appeared in the small-scale film ‘Sexuallife’ in 2005 chronicling the modern romantic life The film was screened in the film festival circuit and received a television premiere.

In 2006 Heche began work on her own series,’ Men in Trees’.

Heche starred in the horror-comedy Suffering Man’s Charity’ in 2007. In the same year, she worked on a romantic comedy film ‘ What Love Is’. Next year, She did a science-fiction thriller Toxic Skies in 2008.

Anne Heche appeared as the girlfriend of a narcissist in a sex comedy film Spread in 2009 With co-starring Ashton Kutcher. The film received a limited release in North America and it made US$12 million at the worldwide box office.

In 2011 she played a major role in the independent comedy ‘Cedar Rapids’. She portrayed a seductive insurance agent role with whom a naive and idealistic man becomes smitten with her love. TheSundance -premiered production garnered critical praise and was an arthouse success.

Heche starred in the supernatural horror film Nothing Left to Fear in 2013. This film received a release for VOD and selected theatres only.

She played the waitress friend of a recovering gambling addict in the action thriller film ‘Wild Card in 2014. The film was released in certain parts of North America only, the film only grossed US$6.7 million internationally on a $30 million budget.

Heche worked with USA Network’s action-adventure drama series- Dig. She played the head of the FBI office in Jerusalem whose agents uncover a 2,000-year-old conspiracy while investigating an archaeologist’s murder.

On September 27, 2016, the post-apocalyptic action drama ‘Aftermath’,  Heche debuted on Canada’s Space Network and on United States Syfy.  Heche played Karen Copeland, an Air Force pilot from Washington, along with her university professor husband Josh. 

In 2017, Heche played a supporting role in the film ‘My Friend Dahmer’, a mentally ill mother.  She received positive reviews for her performance.  Heche debuted as Deputy Director Patricia Campbell of the ‘Defence Intelligence Agency’. In a new military/espionage thriller ‘The Brave’ she got a lead on the NBC series.

In 2018, she joined the television series Chicago P.D.  in a supporting role.

Anne Heche Family life:

Anne Heche started dating in 1997 with her co-star Ellen DeGeneres. They broke up in August 2000. Heche has stated that all of her other romantic relationships have been with men.

She got married to Coleman Laffoon, a cameraman whom she met in 2001. She and Laffoon married.  They had a son in March 2002.

In 2007,  Laffoon filed for divorce on February 2, 2007. After five and a half years of marriage, the divorce was finalised on March 4, 2009.

Heche again got married to her co-star James Tupper. She and Tupper had a son in March 2009.  Tupper and Heche separated in 2018.

Anne Heche is no mare

On August 5, 2022, Heche was involved in a sequence of two car crashes in the Mar Vista neighbourhood of Los Angeles.  Second case, she was driving and hit a garage at an apartment complex, and second she crashed into her house garage, resulting in a fire that left her severely burned. In the fire, she had lost all of her personal property to the fire.

Heche was removed from the crash scene and sent to the hospital. On August 8, a representative for Heche said that she was in a coma in extremely critical condition. On August 11, the representative said that Heche was not expected to survive. She was being kept on life support to determine if her organs were viable for donation. She had long expressed her wish to donate her organs.
