Beyonce is back! Star announces comeback project Renaissance
The music legend, Beyonce, announced her comeback project titled Renaissance releasing on July 29.
She announced ‘Act I’ of Renaissance pointing towards how there might be more than one part.
Beyonce has even changed her twitter and instagram bio to ‘Act i, Renaissance, 7:29’
Various music platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, and Youtube, also confirmed the news with an image reading: ‘Act i, Renaissance.’
The details of the project have not yet been announced, but fans are sure to assume that it’s her highly anticipated seventh album which has been in works for more than a year.
Beyonce released her last album titled Lemonade in April, 2016.
Her last record was an experimental drawing on a variety of sounds including rock, pop, R&B and reggae. And featured hit songs such as Formation, Hold up and Sorry, themes including Black excellence and husband Jay Z’s infidelity.
Last year, Beyonce hinted at themes to expect from her next album after writing new music during the Covid pandemic.
She spoke about how with all the isolation and injustice, people are ready to escape, travel, love, and laugh again. She went on to say that she feels a renaissance emerging; and has been in the sudo for a year and a half.
The Sun reports that the next phase of Beyonce’s career will be like no other, putting a heavy focus on these interactive pop-up performances with a full world tour to follow later.
