Chris Hemsworth discusses whether he’ll return as Thor after Love and Thunder
Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, which will be released in cinemas on July 7, is the only original Avengers cast member to make it to the fourth phase of the MCU. Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye was seen in the TV series with the same title.
Mark Ruffalo’s Hulk appeared in Shang Chi’s post-credits scenes and will be appearing in the upcoming She’Hulk series. Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlet Johanson, and Scarlet Johanson all have metaphorically hung up their caps.
Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster returns in the movie, taking over the mantle as the Mighty Thor. Many have speculated that the movie was made to say goodbye to Chris Hemsworth’s Thor and introduce Natalie Portman as his replacement.
People believed that Marvel had not yet finished Thor: Ragnarok’s success. But, after being the only solo Thor character to get 4 movies, speculations have been building that Chris Hemsworth might finally retire.
Chris Hemsworth has a very different opinion. The Australian actor spoke out about the matter and stated that he would “come back for more, until someone kicks my off the stage.”
Here is his complete comment:
It’s my favorite thing. I will return for more and more, until someone kicks my off the stage. It is a joy. It has been my entire career. To be able to play this role with different directors and casts is an absolute joy. Yes, we’ll do what the fans want.
But I don’t know. I’m all for having fun and enjoying it. I’m sure that’s how this Marvel experience has been for you, so let’s go!
Marvel is not a stranger to Thor, with an actor as eager as the fan response. However, the future is unknown. Thor: Love and Thunder opens in theatres July 7
