Emilia Clarke revealed About Missing part of Brain
Emilia Clarke revealed areas of her brain were missing following two aneurysms during shooting “Game of Thrones“In the years 2011, 2013
Clarke stated that she is amazed by her ability to lead a normal life despite the fact that her brain is almost completely gone.
“I’m in the very, really and really, small minority that can survive that… There’s a lot that is missing!” “Clarke explained.
“Strokes occur when blood isn’t reaching any part of the brain for a second.
The blood finds an alternate route, but it is not complete.
Clarke suffered her first stroke in 2011, after an aneurysm ruptured the brain of her. It also caused a subarachnoid clot.
Thankfully, her friends and family members were quick to respond and she was quickly taken for surgery on her brain.
Clarke wrote her 2019 essay about waking up in an ICU after her first brain surgery. She was unable to remember her name or in communication.
Due to brain trauma she had, she was suffering from aphasia.
She recalled asking doctors to let her die because she was unsure how she would continue communicating with others and her dream job as an actor.
Writing, “My job — my entire life dream — Centered around Language, on Communication. Without this, I was lost.”
Clarke returned to work on “The Next Week” the week following her Aphasia. Game of Thrones.”
After several years, she had to have another procedure to remove an additional aneurysm from her brain. However, the aneurysm was close to bursting.
Clarke was the victim of two brain surgeries and started SameYou to aid stroke victims and brain injury patients.
Website describes the charity’s mission to “transform the way brain injury survivors are supported through mental, emotional and cognitive recovery services”. The journey doesn’t end when patients leave the facility. It is always at home.
