The President signed the gun safety package that Congress passed into law, making it a law.
TSR noted that “The law is being drafted in response to deadly mass shootings, such as the one at Tops grocery in Buffalo and Uvalde’s elementary school shooting.”
TSR also stated that the law included $750 million to assist states in implementing “red flag” laws to take guns from those deemed to be a threat to their safety or the safety of others. The law will improve background checks for gun buyers younger than 21 years old. It will also help domestic violence victims by closing the “boyfriend loophole”. This will prevent domestic abuse victims from buying guns.
