Prince William celebrated his 40th anniversary on June 21. His family did not ignore the occasion and spoke out via official social media accounts. His father, Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth II, congratulated Cambridge. Prince Harry, his “beloved brother”, ignored the date. On the Archewell Foundation website, which he and Meghan Markle use to communicate with the rest of the world, no mention is made about a significant date in William’s past. Omid Scobie, royal expert and author of Harry and Meghan’s memoir “In Search of Freedom,” spoke that day. Omid is considered to be a direct representative for the Dukes of Sussex. This means that if Omid says something, it represents the position of rebels who have left the royal family. Here is Scobie’s writing:
“Prince William made the decision to drop Elizabeth II’s royal mantra (“never complain, never excuses”) but it was revealed that he had criticised Prince Harry for speaking out about family problems. Prince Harry cannot complain, but William is. It’s not pretty!”
The audience said that injecting a brother on his birthday was a bad idea. They want to focus on the good stuff. According to them, Harry did this after William shared some “behind scenes truth” about their childhood. The brothers were not able to find peace, or even limit themselves to polite, official congratulations, on their special day. This shows that the calm within the royal family is still far away.
As we have previously written, Prince William is the son of Princess Diana, the father to three amazing children and the future king in Great Britain. The Duke of Cambridge turns 40 today. However, experts say his life is just beginning and that he will face many challenges in his future career.
