Judas Priest will be playing two shows in Alamo City, Tuesday, November 22nd and Wednesday 23rd due to San Antonio's reputation as the "heavy metal capital".

Queensryche, a fellow rock band, will be joining Judas Priest for their 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour.

The group was formed in 1970 in Birmingham (England) and has since helped to pioneer a whole genre.

The band has been through many changes over the years and is well-known for their hits "British Steel" (and "Screaming for Vengeance") that brought them to worldwide prominence.

They were among the first to be accepted by MTV early on and are well-known for their leather and studs-adorned wardrobe.

In a press release, Hill, Tipton and Halford all expressed their thoughts about the return to the stage. Halford stated, "Defending heavy metal faith for fifty year, the Priest is back!"
