After having played couple husband and wife a few times on the screen, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons have decided to try the real deal

Two parents, who recently appeared as a couple on screen for the film Power of the Dog was peacefully got married this past Saturday at GoldenEye luxurious resort in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, according to Page Six.

A representative from Dunst confirmed the union in a statement sent to People but said they had no additional information to include.

Plemons and Durst have met during the filming of the FX show Fargo as husband and wife on the show's second season.

Rumors of an engagement started to circulate following Dunst was seen wearing an engagement ring on her finger during the Golden Globes in 2017.

Since the time they've had two sons: Ennis Howard 4, as well as 14-month-old James Robert.

Dunst said the possibility of a marriage past due in an interview the Los Angeles Times in the spring of this year.

She explained that although her along with Plemons " call each other husband and wife," they were still not able to begin making plans for their wedding.

"We have to get married at this point. It's ridiculous. We just haven't planned a wedding," she told the publication in February.

She explained that the COVID-19 virus and her second pregnancy had made it hard to determine an exact date.

"I didn't want to be pregnant, get married, have a party, and not be able to have fun with everybody." Alongside Fargoand Power of the Dog, that earned them both Oscar nods. The duo last year appeared for the Netflix series Windfall.

They've also worked with on shows like Black Mirror and Drunk History.

"I don't wanna do another project without [Kirsten]. It's just the best," Plemons said to PEOPLE in December.

"We fell in love creatively first on Fargo, just immediately trusted each other. I'm constantly amazed by what she brings. She just operates from such a deep place in her soul."
